As destination wedding photographers and videographers, we are always ready to pack our bags and travel across Europe to capture beautiful, raw love stories. This time, our cameras brought us to the breathtaking island of Sicily to document the incredible wedding of Eleonora and Hugo. Based in Dubai, this international couple - she is Sicilian, he is French - chose to return to Eleonora’s roots for the perfect Sicilian celebration.

The Getting Ready & A Historic Ceremony in Palermo

We began the day capturing the emotional wedding preparations inside Eleonora's mother's house, a beautiful, typical Sicilian apartment filled with character and family history.


From there, everyone headed to the heart of Palermo. The couple tied the knot during a stunning ceremony at the famous and historic Church of Saint Mary "dell'Ammiraglio" (La Martorana). The golden Byzantine mosaics and dramatic architecture provided the ultimate backdrop for both cinematic video and timeless wedding photography.

Sunset Portraits & Dinner Under the Stars

 

After the ceremony, we traveled to the gorgeous Baglio di Starfalcello. We arrived just as the sun was dipping below the horizon—the golden hour light was absolute magic for Eleonora and Hugo's bride and groom portraits.


The evening transition was flawless. Guests enjoyed an outdoor dinner under a canopy of stars, filled with heartfelt, emotional speeches and laughter. After a traditional Italian cake cutting, the party kicked off with an epic outdoor dancefloor before moving inside to dance the night away.

This chronological wedding film follows the natural timeline of the day in the exact order of happening, from the quiet morning preparations in the Sicilian apartment to the sacred ceremony, the sunset couple session, the  heartfelt speeches, and the wild energy of the dancefloor. Shot with an honest, documentary approach, this raw and immersive format preserves the authentic rhythm and genuine atmosphere of your destination wedding.
